Welcome to the Loving Touch Petting Zoo website. Feel free to look around and get to know our furry friends. Check out our calendar and meet us at our next event, or book us for your next special occasion.

MISS MILLY'S MARKET IS BACK!!! Starting May 14th from 3:30pm until 6pm. Come out and hang out with your neighbors, the petting zoo, great food and live entertainment. There will be face painting, story telling and much much more for the whole family. Are you Ready for Valentines day? Here is a fun way to celebrate: Need

Pre-cut Heart shapes (I use oak tag)
small bowls
Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
red food coloring
paintbrushes

Mix the milk and food coloring in a bowl and stir well.
The more food coloring the darker the shade of pink.
Have the children use the paintbrush to brush on the
colored milk to the heart. For texture, they
can sprinkle salt on it while it is wet.

Lay the heart flat to dry.

It will be sticky while drying. When it is dried
it will be nice and shiny with a raised texture!

It can't get much easier than this and the kids love it!

Looks Like a rainy week ahead.. let's make our own rain! Grab a paper towel roll, use some left over christmas paper wrap or construction paper, stickers and colors to decorate with and a little uncooked rice to fill the tube up. First cover one end. (reynolds wrap makes for a better sound.) Glue it or tape it on real good. Then pour 1/2 cup of dry rice in the other end and cover that as well. After the rice is in the tube and not leaking out, you can wrap the tube in whatever you want to decorate it with. Color it, put stickers on it, glitter, let your imagination run wild! Then just by turning it upside down and back to right side up slowley, you can hear the rain!

With spring around the corner, this is a great time to find some bugs under old logs or rocks. They'll be making they're way to the surface looking for food, and sun light. Have fun exploring!

“Cinnamon”

Alpaca

The Alpaca (Vicugna pacos) is from South Africa (show map) They, like most animals, started out wild. It has a coat like a sheep only it’s not wool, it’s called fibers and it can be in many different colors. It has a long neck and two fingernails on each foot with a nice soft pad for a palm. Alpacas are often mistaken for a llama, but alpaccas are much smaller and not used for the same purpose. The Llama has wool like a sheep. Alpaca fibers are very valued And can be woven or knitted into: blankets, sweaters, hats, gloves, scarves, a wide variety of textile. The fiber can come in as many as 52 natural colors. Another way Alpacas and llamas differ is that llamas have banana shaped ears and long tails and alpacas have straight ears and stubby tails.

“Sunny”

Sheep

The domestic sheep (Ovis aries), the most common sheep comes from the wilds of South Asia. female sheep are called ewes, and males are rams, and baby sheep are called lambs. People who raise a bunch of sheep are called shepherds and the sheep are called, as a group, a flock. Sheep are raised mostly for their wool, but can be raised for food too.

Honolulu “lulu”

Goat
The domestic goat (Capra aegagrus hircus) Originally comes from the wild goat of southwest asia and eastern Europe. Why do you suppose all these animals start out so far away? The goat is closely related to the sheep, both being in the goat antelope subfamily Goats are used for a variety of things. Some goats, like Lulu, can be milked and that milk is very healthy. It can raise baby goats, lambs, calves, or even human babies. And some goats are used as a natural weed control. They love to eat weeds and bushes, and vines and sometimes grass. Then there are goats that are raised to feed us, its meat is sometimes called “chevon”. Even the goat hair can be used. Female goats are called Does or Nannies and Male goats are called Billies or Bucks and their babies are called Kids.

Duck is In the family of Birds. Ducks mostly love water and are great swimmers and floaters. They are much smaller than their relatives the Swans and the Geese, and may be found in ponds, lakes, rivers and oceans. Ducks have a flat Beak or Bill. They eat grass, plants, fish, insects, and worms too. Inside their beak are tiny rows of plates to filter out the water and keep food inside.

Uma

Pig
Pot-bellied pigs are different from farm pigs mostly in their size. They also have upright ears and a straight tail. Daddy pigs are called boars and mama pigs are Sows. A baby pig is a piglet or a boy is a barrow and a girl a gilt.

Rabbit}Bunny’s are small animals with long ears; some floppy and some upright. They have short soft fur and a cotton ball tail. They are also called rabbits or a hare. Some places used rabbit fur to make coats and hats or other accessories. Bunny’s hop with their strong back legs that push them off and up.

Rooster

A rooster is a male chicken, (Gallus gallus) the female being a hen. The rooster guards the general area where his hens are nesting, and will attack other roosters who enter his territory. During the daytime, he often sits on a high perch, usually 4-5 feet off the ground, to serve as a lookout for his flock. He will sound a distinctive alarm call if predators are nearby. Miss Milly's Marketplace! We are so excited to be preparing for Miss Milly's Marketplace, a fun and family friendly farmers Market. You will be able to shop for veggies and homemade goodies all while the kids play and love on the ever Loving Touch Petting Zoo animals. We will have stick horse race's and corn bins and storytelling! You never know who you will run into at Miss Milly's Market!

What do we do ? We come to you! Or you can have your party on our farm. We provide the atmosphere, the tables and the animals. You bring whatever food, cake, utensils, and kids! We have room for 10 kids and 12 adults (add more people for additional fee)
We do we bring? goats, sheep, pig, alpaca, bunnies, chickens, ducks and sometimes a donkey. We don't force them to come so sometimes we only have two instead of three goats or donkey doesn't want to go... They go because they love to or they stay home. We bring sanitizer as well. we clean up as best as we can, but some "fertilizer" maybe left as our gift to you. As long as we can get our 14 foot trailer safely to your spot, we will be happy to be the hit our your event. We need level ground perferably, and a heads up if we're going to be on pavement. For the safety of our animals and kids, we'd rather not lead the animals to the spot you have in mind for us. There is an additional fee for that if it is the only spot that will do. In inclimate weather we leave it up to you. We have had party's in the garage, and the animals do leave a stain as it seeps through the tarp we put down. They also may leave a temporary aroma as a friendly reminder of the super great party they had.
What do we need? Level ground, water near by, and kids that wanna love on furry friends!

Traveling Zoo :
250 for two hours and that includes a 15 minute set up and 15 minute tear down. The kids love to help with this and it builds the excitement. We provide the hand sanitizer for kids, and pen for animals. It is recomended that if food is served there should be a hand washing area with soap and water available. A hose and a bottle of soap should do. (for 15.00 extra we have a blow up "Pin The Tail on The Donkey" available for rental)

Farm rental
is 150 per hour
We provide a port o potty and hand sanitizer. tables and chairs for 10 kids 12 adults. 4 power outlets for your convienence and a small table for gifts. You can set up 30 minutes before party time and have up to 25 minutes after before an additional fee is applied. Heaters are up to you. We can have the party in the barn if rain is a threat. We have 6 parking spots on the farm and a few safe spots on the side of the road. Please car pool.

Photographer is available upon request at farm party's so that you can enjoy your party!

inclimate weather is a "play by ear" thing. We stay in touch, but need as much notice as possible for a final decision. (usually 4 hours) I always let you know if the animals are way too wet to pet.

Farm Parties

We have parties right here at our farm. The only things you need to bring are; the cake, the kids, and any party favors you'd like. The health dept will not allow us to serve food w/out a license which we may pursue in the future. Your food is welcome. We can do birthday parties educational tours.

Party's: two hour zoo, blow up pin the tail on the donkey, and a mini scavenger hunt or egg hunt for the little ones. Cost is $100.00 an hour and usually two hours is enough time for a birthday party or Farm Tour event.

Come on over and check it out. We do require a 75.00 deposit for farm parties and daycares.

Nativity

Nativity's are 175 per hour, plus a dollar a mile. We set up fence free in most cases . Children and adults too are welcome to pet the animals.

What we need: we need a shelter, and level ground perferably that we can drive up to and leave from with our 14ft trailer without turning around.

What we bring: sanitizer, Hay-enough for our animals, 2 goats, 2 sheep, donkey, alpaca and rooster.

we can bring additional straw upon request for additional fee. (usually 3.00 a bail rental fee 6.00 to purchase)

Daycare

We LOVE to come to daycare's and school's and give a small talk on the animals and their purpose. We can email an information sheet so that the teachers can talk about the animals and what the kids will see before we get there. We only have one rule "we're a petting zoo, not a pick up zoo". We ask that the kids are gentle and respectful of the animals space. We do not provide feed for these events. It just more relaxed when food isn't in the picture. We are available for questions, and assisting the kids to pet each animals.

Daycare price is $250.00 for two hours and a dollar a mile.
Additional time is available for $100.00 an hour.
for a farm field trip the price is $150.00 per hour. We now have a restroom!

Fairs

Let us add some farm fun to your next fair. Kids can pet the animals for 3.00 each child and we allow one parent per child in for free. We give each child a small cup of feed. (additional feed is 1.00 a cup) We give back to the event 10% of what we make unless a different fee is agreed upon in advance. If you'd like a free petting zoo for the kids we welcome a sponsor for 100.00 an hour. (two hour minimum)
